With just two races left for Miss Daisy to conquer the MGCC PBIC (A), it was always going to be a tall order at Snetterton, particularly as 29 other competitors had entered, to include Mr Piggott, who somehow got there on time, despite his resident gig on Friday night with Jonathan Ross. If you don’t believe me, he’s the one in the middle.

There’s nothing Miss Daisy likes more than a good Sunday market (except perhaps for a boot fair where she has an unfair advantage) so one of her favourite destinations is Snetterton where the race circuit is bordered by the local market. This weekend sees a double header which not only brings the curtain down on the MGCC season but also includes a 4 hour relay finale in which Miss Daisy and a few friends will participate.

Finding ourselves with a spare weekend, we thought it would be rather jolly to take Miss Daisy to visit sunny Wiltshire and in particular, the ancient market town of Castle Combe. Sadly, little remains of the Castle and even less of the Combe. Other facilities not featured in the area include petrol stations, with the result that we had to gamble on some of the finest moonshine available, AKA Morrison’s economy petrol, whilst those who take matters far too seriously were measuring out precise quantities of what looked like rocket fuel.
